Hand and Hammer Silversmiths 1322 Lion and Lamb 1993.  The size of this ornament is about 2" Tall by 1-3/4" Wide.  At the season of the Holidays, wars and differences are put aside.  Thus illustrates the biblical analogy that "the lion will lie down with the lamb."  This image has been used over the centuries, never more effectively than in the 18th century American artist Edward Hicks' lovely primitive paintings.  

The Book of Revelation includes over twenty references to a lion-like lamb ("slain but standing") which delivers victory in a manner reminiscent of the resurrected Christ.  In the first appearance of the lamb in Revelation (5:1-7) only the lamb (which is of the tribe of Judah, and the root of David) is found worthy to take the judgment scroll from God and break the seals
