Madonna & Child Sterling Christmas Ornament 1988.  Mary is represented here with the Christ Child.  While Mary, the Mother of Jesus, may be referred to as "the Madonna" in other contexts, in art the term is applied specifically to an artwork in which Mary, with or without the infant Jesus, is the focus, and central figure of the picture.

This item was originally made for US Historical Society in 1988.  The size of this ornament is about 1-3/4" high  X  1-1/2" wide. This Sterling Silver Ornament is in Excellent like new collectible condition.  Comes with all original packaging.  Made in the USA.
