​Colonial Williamsburg Annual Sterling Ornament  - CWX-704 Sterling Dove of Peace 4th Edition - The size of this ornament is about  3" High X 2-3/4" Wide. The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation commisioned Reed & Barton to make an annual sterling ornament.  This is their 4th Edtion with a Pineapple as the 1st edition.  Each of these sterling ornaments large in size and have spectacular detail.  This ornament is in perfect Brand new collectible condition.  It comes it it's original box, pouch and certificate.

This sterling ornament was inspired from a holiday message of Peace, resonating from a square of an appliqued quilt.  The quilt is one of a group of spectacular "Baltimore album quilts" made about 1850 by friends and family members.   All feature vivid bouquets and baskets of flowers and fruits and American patriotic symbols.  The quilt source for this ornament is in the collection of the Abbey Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Musuem at Colonial Williamsburg.  

Colonial Williamsburg is the private foundation representing the historic district of the city of Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. The district includes buildings dating from 1699 to 1780 which made colonial Virginia's capital.
